Abstract

The Pedagogical Political Project of a school must be built based on a significant intentionality in which all subjects involved in this practice need to participate in its construction and execution process. In this context, Environmental Education must be comprehensively included in the document to promote reflective actions on the environmental dimension present in the local and global reality. Therefore, the general objective of this study is to characterize the environmental dimension present in the Pedagogical Political Project of two schools in the municipality of Campo Maior, Piauí. The specific objectives were: to identify how the environmental dimension is included in the documents, as well as to verify the projects developed in the two institutions that are in line with the theme. The methodology used was characterized by a qualitative approach, with an exploratory and descriptive character. The survey and data collection were carried out through bibliographic and documentary research. The results obtained reveal that the environmental dimension is addressed in the manuscripts from a naturalistic perspective, with an emphasis on the development of specific projects aimed at environmental conservation. It is concluded that it is important to think about the inclusion of this theme in the Pedagogical Political Project of schools in a more solid way, through public policies that reflect the real needs of the institution, its aspirations and difficulties.
