WATER MANAGEMENT IN A UNIVERSITY IN THE SEMI-ARID OF RIO GRANDE DO NORTE

Abstract

Observing the importance of conserving water resources for the preservation of life on Earth and maintenance of all economic activities, it is possible, especially for public agencies, to promote actions that seek to use water efficiently. Thus, through this research, the objective was to carry out a diagnosis of the water management model practiced at the Universidade Federal Rural Semi-Árido, Mossoró-RN campus. The main obstacles and actions related to water management at the university were identified, in order, from then on, to propose alternatives for the conservation of water resources that could be implemented in the institution.
