Environmental Education (EE) presents itself as an important form of education that spans various segments of society, allowing the development of critical thinking, which is necessary in contemporary times. This theme crosses the theoretical field of various sciences, which have increasingly developed research in the area, with a concern to debate the current economic development model in the period of globalization. Thus, Environmental Education (EE) enables educational intervention methods, creating conditions for practical activities in schools, involving various areas of knowledge. From this perspective, the present work proposes to discuss a pedagogical practice proposal through Environmental Education in Geography classes. The main objective is to analyze students' perception of Environmental Education through the lens of Geography teaching in an elementary school. This is a theoretical and practical work, coupled with a literature review, based on consulting various works on the subject, considering books, scientific articles, and materials available on the internet to support readings and discursive reflections. The intention is to gather conditions to build a proposal for the application of Environmental Education practices in everyday school life. With this, we aim to re-signify geographic education in the content-method relationship, identifying environmental issues of different urban spatialities in the first instance, and of a specific locality in the second instance, having as its locus a public school in the municipality of São Raimundo Nonato - PI.
