Abstract

Understanding that it is at the University that the training of educators in general and environmental educators specifically takes place, the purpose of this text is to understand how socio-environmental issues are inserted in this process, bearing in mind that its inclusion is increasingly necessary directly in the degree curriculum; and in this way, enable them to develop it in Basic Education in an inter and transdisciplinary way. Based on a theoretical framework of critical Environmental Education - with Freire as the main author, we methodologically opted for documentary analysis of the syntheses of PPCs from Unochapecó degree courses, based on the choice of categories related to the environmental dimension. The analysis process resulted in a synoptic picture of the presence of environmental themes in the curricula, which demonstrated that these issues appear centrally in the Biological Sciences course, whereas, in other degrees, the presence is irrelevant, punctual and from an uncritical perspective.
